Hi everyone, I'm Pippa. Life as I knew it for the last 9 years changed at the end of July when my family surrendered my fur-sister and I to a shelter saying they couldn't afford to take care of us anymore.
The shelter got all my vetting done, spay and some large skin tags removed. I had some seeping when I tore my stitches out so they started me on thyroid meds and noted that I might have something called vWD. I was tested for vWD when I came to Doberman Underground and found to be a Carrier, not Affected. So my seeping was only due to low thyroid. The shelter started me on thyroid medicine and my thyroid level is now regulated. I'm told hypothyroid seems to be common with dobermans nowadays. It's treated with low cost medicine. I'm not sure what to make of all these changes in my life. I do tell my foster mom thank you for loving me with little soft kisses. I love to steal the pillow on the couch and lay on it. I'm living with a couple foster fur-siblings right now. I still watch my foster siblings play and interact some but not sure I want to join in with their shenanigans. I visited with some cats and didn't pay much attention to them.
My foster mom keeps telling me I'm such a petite little thing. I would love to find someone with a nice comfy spot for me to lay my head and spend my retirement years. I'd prefer a quiet home with adults or possibly older kids as a lot of activity makes me a little nervous. Do you have a spot for me?
