Walter was surrendered to a shelter, and it was clear he had always lived outside.  Not anymore!  Today Walter loves his new indoor life with a wonderful foster family where he lives with another Doberman, a small dog and 3 cats.  

This 4 year old is an all around great boy.  He behaves well and is not too rowdy.  He knows a lot of commands already, including sit, heel, stay, back, out and come.  He is very calm and does well on a leash and he's friendly when meeting other dogs and kids during his walks.  Walter is very affectionate and loving to everyone in his foster home and has blossomed under their care to become a very secure and happy boy.  

Walter is in love with stuffed animals.  He carries them around all day, and even likes to take them outside with him.  He playfully looks for places to hide them...in his kennel, under the couch and under his blankets.  

This velcro boy just can't get close enough to his humans so they can give him love and affection.  After using the world as his potty as an outside dog, he learned quickly that the same potty rules don't apply inside.  He is now housebroken.   With some guidance, Walter will go in his crate and behaves well while in the crate.  He needs a fenced yard where he can play safely.  

This adorable boy would be the ideal companion for a laid back family that likes to hang out at home.  He travels well and will love to join you when you go out or travel.  He plays well by himself and would be great as an only dog.  A canine companion that is very calm would work for him.  He would do well in a house with cats as long as they are dog savvy.
