Mellow is a 3 year old girl that arrived at a very critical stage, diagnosed heartworm positive that had advanced to Stage 3. She has finally completed her treatments and came through it like a champ! Now that she is feeling better, we are really starting to see her wonderful personality coming out. True to her name, Mellow is a very chill girl. She's housebroken and does not need to be crated. Mellow loves to go for walk and is okay on leash. She can be a little protective of her person when she's on leash, but can be easily re-directed. She is a little bit shy with men at first, but warms up quickly. She is good with kids. Mellow gets along with other dogs of all sizes and walks away from conflict, however she does prefer older, laid back dogs (male or female), so no energetic playmates for her. No cats, though. She does need a fence to keep her safe at play, but an invisible fence would be acceptable. Mellow is ready to choose her forever family to rescue. Is it yours?
