Jameson is a beautiful 2.5 year old red girl that has been saved from a terrible situation. Jameson and her sisters were purchased to breed with the owner's male. Sadly, the dogs all ended up turning on Jameson and they really beat her up. Her ear was ripped and she had wounds on her back when she was surrendered. Littermate syndrome is very real! Her ear was stapled and it has healed nicely. She has some gray hairs from the scabs and healing in her coat. Other dogs put Jameson on alert, as you might imagine, she will take time when being introduced to other dogs, but calm dogs are the best for her. She's just scared from being abused and reacting to what she knows. She is making great progress and is even sleeping with her foster parents and the other dogs on the couch now! She'll need to be an only dog or be with a very calm canine companion. She has not been cat or kid tested. Jameson enjoys being around people, including strangers. She does like to goose people with her nose. She loves to go for car rides, and lays perfectly in the back seat. Jameson is learning to play with toys and she really likes them. She loves to steal socks and clothes and bring them to her dog bed. Fortunately, she does not chew them at all. Jameson is a really sweet girl and has a pretty chill personality. She tolerates wearing sweaters, probably because she looks stunning in them! She responds to the down command and comes when she is called. She's a quick learner and is now mastering sit. She's great on leash but does not like to potty on leash, so she'll do best in a fenced yard where she can wander safely to pick the perfect spot. Her past situation has given this timid girl a nervous stomach. She's currently on Proplan sensitive stomach and taking Prilosec, but we think this will pass once she has time to settle in her forever home.
