Daisy is a sweet 18 month old girl that came to us from an unstable home life. Understandably, she is timid with strangers, but once she gets to know you she is the classic velcro Dobie. She is very smart and picks up on commands quickly. She takes an inexpensive thyroid medicine to keep her healthy. Daisy just loves to run and play. A typical youngster, she is very active and very strong both physically and mentally. Once she trusts you, she trusts you 100%. She will go in her crate but does bark while she's in it. She does not chew or try to destroy it. Daisy absolutely loves her toys, especially hard bones and any type of toy that you can throw for her to chase and fetch. She must have a yard with a physical fence to provide a safe area for her to play. Daisy is good with other dogs but she does play rough. Small dogs must be able to stand up to her because she will boss them around. She would be fine with a cat as long as it is very dog savvy, as she does like to poke at the cats with her nose. We don't know exactly what happened with Daisy, but she definitely warms up more quickly to women than men. It does takes her some time to be comfortable with women, but it will take a long time for her to build enough trust to let a man touch her. This big, playful girl would be too much for younger children, as she likes to play hard and doesn't realize her size. A typical "teenager" she is stubborn and strong willed. She will keep testing to see how far she can push you. She needs consistent rules and her adopters will be required to engage in training classes. Daisy is going to be a wonderful companion and is ready to choose her forever family. Is it yours? Apply today! www.DUdobes.org
