Katy Blue is a sweet 7.5 year old girl that was surrendered to a vet by her owner when they could not afford the surgery she needed.  Katy had developed pyometra, an infection of the uterus that occurs in un-spayed dogs and cats.  It can happen at any age, but the likelihood increases greatly the older an intact female gets.  The vet reached out to us and we stepped up to save her.

Katy is super friendly and loves to cuddle with her foster parents.  She's a smiler and will show you her pearly whites when she gets excited.  She has a stuffed bunny that she carries everywhere with her and even takes it to bed every night.  

Katy was probably an only dog, and she seems afraid of other dogs.  She would do well as an only pet, but could live with a very laid back, non-reactive dog, but no cats.  Katy knows basic commands and is very well behaved.  She likes to spend time indoors and doesn't tend to stay outside for very long.  She is happy to go for car rides and enjoys being out with her people.
