Dolly is a two-year old, female, albino Doberman. Dolly came to us when her previous owner passed. It seems like Dolly had never left the property she lived on. She is very timid and unsure of the world. She is frightened by loud noises, such as passing trucks. Dolly will need an experienced owner to help her learn the world isn't such a scary place. Dolly will also need a yard with at least a 5 foot fence to ensure her safety. Dolly loves other dogs. We feel she would do best with another dog companion. She is loving, sweet, and playful with the other dogs in her foster home. Dolly is not compatible with cats. Dolly will definitely benefit from an obedience course, both to teach her confidence and for the bonding experience. Once Dolly knows and trusts you, she is a very sweet and loving girl. While she may look pretty, albino Dobermans come with health issues. She will not tolerate sun well as they are very susceptible to skin cancer. Albinos often have vision issues as well, especially in the bright sun. Dolly may develop melanomas which will need to be monitored closely by a vet and often require surgical removal. Dolly will need to have limited sun exposure. This is not a girl who can go out on the boat all day or spend the day at the beach. If you have the experience, patience, and love to provide Dolly the structure, security, and family that she needs to thrive and become a beloved companion, please fill out an application at www.DUdobes.com Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in parts of bordering states.
