Ruby is a sweet 1year old female that has been bounced around for most of her young life. Fortunately she hasn’t been traumatized by the moves. Unfortunately, with all the moves her house breaking and structure were not consistent and that is how Ruby ended up with our rescue. We are happy to report that Ruby knows she needs to potty outside. Ruby has perfect house manners now. Ruby's foster mom says she is a people pleaser. She is oh so affectionate and very eager to learn new things. She response very well to treats and praise. She's a confident girl, except when it comes to stairs. She has learned to use one set of stairs in the house, but won't use the other set at all...yet! This is also something she'll need to get used to. She is crate trained but cannot have bedding in her crate. Typical for her age, she can chew on things when she's overly excited. She plays and plays all day. A typical youngster, we all wish we had a fraction of the energy she has! She has been going to doggy daycare 2 days a week and does extremely well with the medium and large size dogs there. Doodles are her absolute favorite, she loves them all. She has not been around small dogs at all. Ruby has learned so much from her foster canine siblings and is taking their cues for appropriate play with each of them. Velcro definitely applies to Ruby. She wants to be with her people all the time. She takes food gently. She loves the snow and thinks it tastes delicious, too. She is curious when encountering new experiences. She can't get enough toys! Playing ball with Ruby is a must and she will demand it. She's a great family dog and loves everyone she meets. She enjoys the busy, active household. She needs work on learning how to properly initiate play with people. She easily gets very excited and can nip and bark at someone when trying to get them to play with her. She would do well with children 13 and older. Ruby will only be placed with an experienced Doberman owner. She must have a medium to large sized male canine companion in the home to show her the ropes and physical fence to give her a safe place to run and play. She'll do best with an active family that can give her the schedule and structure she needs to live her best life.
