Saffron was removed from her owners along with a male Doberman.  Both dogs, 6 years old, were clearly being treated very poorly.  They were both in rough shape, severely emaciated and scheduled to be euthanized at the shelter.   We could not let these two dogs be saved only to to be put down because of their condition.  Thanks to our amazing volunteers, family and friends that all jumped into action to get both dogs out of the shelter and immediately into foster homes. 

6 Year old Saffron is thriving in her foster home.  She gets along well with dogs and cats, and plays gently with the 4 month old puppy at the house.  She loves going for walks around the neighborhood and patrolling the yard while her foster mom gardens or cuts grass.  She needs a yard with a physical fence to keep her safe, preferably a privacy fence that blocks her view.  She is a vocal girl and she has saved her foster family countless times...from the mailman, FedEx driver, etc.  Going out?  She will gladly join you and ride nicely in the car.  She already knows commands like come, sit, down and back.  She is very treat motivated.  Training will be a great bonding experience with her adopter!
