Rhett is handsome boy, approximately 5 years old,. He was found as a stray, thin and worn down. Today, Rhett is healthy and actively looking for his forever family.

 

Velcro doesn't begin to describe how much Rhett loves to be with his people. He just wants to be wherever you are and of course he wants to be touching. He absolutely thrives having a set routine, and he's not shy about reminding you when it's time for food or treats. Rhett is both snuggly and adventurous. He is fine being a couch potato and will happily chew his bone, but he really enjoys daily walks and a good romp with his foster sister in the backyard. He has done pretty well with boundary training but would do best with a physical fence that would allow him more freedom to explore.

 

Rhett is a quick learner and is eager to please. He does well with female dogs. He is very interested in outdoor critters, so no cats. He can take a minute to warm up to men, but with positive reinforcement and patience he has done well with everyone. Quick movements are scary to Rhett, so no small children. He' doesn't like to be shut in a crate, but does enjoy collecting toys and bones and stashing them in his crate (as long as it remains open). He has been good in the house and doesn't chew things.
