Butterz

In response to your inquiry...Bea is well, I know she is a rescue still at some point she was loved because she is thoroughly trained in so many ways. Once she acclimated to her new life her anxiety levels improved. However Bea was not well...she was diagnosed with arthritis, lime disease and was treated. Due to her arthritis in both hind legs she, somehow, tore her acl so required surgery...all that in addition to her poor teeth. Yes her bad teeth were extracted because infection had already begun to set in. She loves her new life, eats well and loves to run in the backyard. Her present weigh is 38lbs. I would tell you the total cost in the past year but you would need to sit down. She has been a money pit... to say the least but we love dearly!

Bella White

Bella aka CardiB is doing great! We have had an exciting month. We took CardiB on her first camping trip. I must say she wasn’t too fond of it the first day. We didn’t bring our other Chihuahua because we thought we would give her some time to adjust to the new experience herself. Well, she did fine until we started a campfire. This poor pup would not come back out of the camper. The next day we brought our other Chihuahua (Mexico) out to the campsite. As soon as Cardi saw her, she was ready to come back out. We went on a hike and met new people. She even fell asleep on my lap the following evening by the campfire. J She loves everyone in our family….BUT loves my husband more. She is definitely his dog. Cracks me up to see a 6’3 250 man walk, and kiss on a little Chihuahua. She did bite my foot after the first week we had her. She has some food aggression and she challenges my other dogs if she finishes her food first. Mexico and our big dog, Chance, will just walk away if she runs over to them, growls and tries to take their food. The first time she did it to Mexico, I was standing right next to the food bowl. I was concerned that Cardi was going to attack Mexico so stupid me stuck my foot between them…..she didn’t like that and latched on to my toe. Again, that was my fault. She gets along fine with our other dogs. But you are right, as long as they don’t crowd her space she is fine. She acts like she wants to play with Mexico but is a tiny bit too rough and Mexico just walks away. She is also a little stingy with her toys. We have to make her share lol I feel that she may have been abused sometime in her previous life. I couple reasons I say that is one, she hates feet….my husband and I wonder if someone may have kicked her before. She also doesn’t like it you move slowly towards her. You have to talk to her with a happy voice and make sure it’s ok with her before you pet her. Another weird thing is around 7:00 pm EVERY DAY, she becomes really, really cranky. If you try to pet her in the evening, she will growl. You just have to give her her own space in the evening. At first she didn’t like to cuddle. Now, she has to cuddle with my husband every night. We are also in the process of finishing our backyard. Our fencing is almost done, our pool will be installed the beginning of May and soon will follow a deck. She will love this because she absolutely loves being outside. We have plenty more to discover and lots of learning to do but she is getting there. We love her and wouldn’t have it any other way! I’ve attached a couple pictures of her. Oh, and she’s gained her weight back. She is up to 12.2 pounds. She has gained 2 pounds since we got her J
