Sammi We have always had busy lives but now with our new family member we are a little more busy, (this being my excuse for not responding sooner. Sammi is doing very well. We are happy that we have her. We had some potty issues, that are much better now. We know her routine and she knows ours. We have settled on a dog food that is vet recommended and is affordable. Sammi has gained 10 lbs. She weighed 51 lbs when we adopted her and now she weighs 61 lbs. She was very timid and insecure, did not go far from us and we had to be outside with her. She is just beginning to go outside on her own. and she is exploring all kinds of things on our 3 1/2 acres. including chasing deer and chipmunks. She is running, jumping and climbing hills. We did have her teeth cleaned. I would be interested in buying a calendar from Doberman Underground.
Sammi We are all doing so well. It is like we have had her since a puppy. She knows us, knows how to communicate with us, We understand each other. She is very loving. I don"t get to take many photos because she does not like a camera. (maybe the flash) As soon as I get my camera she takes off. She knows instantly if I get cottage cheese out of the refrigerator (she loves it) and I cannot sneak the peanutbutter jar without her knowing. Every Sunday eve is ice cream and as soon as we say ice cream she goes to the refrigerator. She is very good with basic commands and we are working on some new ones. She is healthy and is up to date with seeing the vet. She does weigh 61 lbs . She likes having and playing with dog friends that come to visit. We need to work on how she is around children. She gets very excited and is too rough. Nancy Unsold suggested working with her while in the house with one child. and we will do that. She is very affectionate and likes to lay on our laps. Thank you for the extra love in our home. |
