One year old Crawford is a melanistic Doberman that was rescued from a horrible situation in Georgia. She was pregnant and gave birth on March 16th to 9 healthy Doberman Poodle mix puppies.  Now she is spayed so this line of "designer" mixed breeds will not be continued.

Crawford is a friendly girl who warms up quickly to new people.   She has been fine with meeting children on her walks but has never lived with children.   She has done fine with dogs of all sizes that she has met in her foster home.   With redirection and a little work she is doing good with the cat in the home, but we do not suggest leaving them unsupervised.   

A typical youngster, Crawford has a lot of physical and mental energy. With daily exercise and activities, she is calm during non-active times.  She loves to go running with her foster mom, and gets playtime every day in the yard.  Her foster mom does daily training activities, including puzzle toys, and is very treat motivated.  She's learning commands like come, sit, leave it, off, wait, down, drop it and let's go.  

Crawford is a fun loving, goofy girl.  She prances around the back yard hopping like a deer.  She loves to chase squirrels and birds and tell them what she thinks of them.  She will need a physical fence to keep her safely at home. She loves toys and dog beds, something she never had before.
