Alita Hello! Sissy is doing great!!! She is a sweet, loyal soul and we are loving every minUte spent with her. She loves her walks, play time with her sister Maggie and laying on top of her people ð . Thank you for bringing her into our lives
Ace 2.0 Ace is now Abraham, Abe the babe. Heâs so sweet and gentle. He has done well with obedience lessons but still has an eye for the door when heâs feeling playful. Has only led us on a chase once in the last six months and we lost site of him but he came home on his own within 30 minutes. So needless to say, unlike his sister, we never walk him off leash. He is great companion and is Velcro other than when he thinks it might be fun to be chased.
Autumn Hello Doberman Underground! Autumn has officially settled in and knows we are her forever family and home! She is definitely a bed and blanket hog, but the snuggles in return are worth it. She lets us know when she wants to be tucked in. She also loves her sleep.... a lot! She enjoys running around the backyard with her squeaker ball. Her obedience training actually starts next week. The place we really wanted to take her was already booked for January classes so the next available start date was February 26th. Itâs a 6 week class so her last class is April 1st. I did confirm with her foster Debbie if it would be okay to wait until the February class started. We are very much looking forward to taking her because she needs some work when it comes to leash manners, but we are hoping to tackle that with the obedience classes. She is obedient when it comes to feeding her (for the most part hehee sometimes she is stubborn) She will sit and wait until she is told she can eat and has no food aggression. She is such a sweet girl and loves to give kisses. Even though she tests us at times and can be stubborn, we still love her dearly and love the breed! I have attached a few pictures. Alita Sissy is doing great! We are continuing our training classes with The K9 Expert (Drew Harrison), and also attend the weekly group sessions. She and Maggie are best buds and she is loving all in the family! We are working on her counter surfing, garbage picking and walking behavior. Itâs a slow process but she has come a long way!!
Ash Ash has been with us for over a year now! We got him when he was 3 and had just brief overview of his history but he exhibited signs of being hyper and very prey-driven. We couldn't walk him on a leash as he would pull and try to sniff and seek out smaller animals. He was also a prolific escape artist and would crawl under our chain-link fence and after I reinforced it he decided he could just go over it. We worked with a trainer using positive reinforcement and saw some good progress in listening to us, coming when called, and walking on a leash. I'm glad he was already crate-trained as he knows he can always go there as his special place - like if he wants to enjoy a bone without interruption. We don't use that much as he has the run of the house but keep it available as an option. He is good with people and never jumps on them, plus he is not food aggressive. It took quite a while but he really came into his own and he sees us as his pack. He is really good at snuggling, staying by your side, and going on trail runs with me through the Metroparks Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
