Harley Harley is doing very well. She absolutely loves playing with the kids, and going on daily walks. She is still growing and loves to eat! She is an absolute joy for everyone in the house. She has done great when we've had visitors at the house too. She just loves people. She has completed some training classes and everyone is amazed at how smart she is and how quickly she learns. We are considering some agility courses for her too. She just makes my heart smile!
Hawkeye In August 2019 having lost our beloved 11 year old Dobie, we decided to open our hearts and home to another rescue. The past year we have been blessed with so much love, joy and laughter with the addition of Tyson to our family. He is the perfect companion for Xena, also a rescue. Xena had little socialization and was animal aggressive, but has taken to her brother and they are inseparable. Itâs awesome to watch the two of them doing the Indy 500 through the house romping and playing. Tyson will be 2 in September and is still a puppyâall 100+lbs. He loves playing ball, chasing bees, bugs, birds, squirrels, leavesâanything that moves. A typical youngster, everything goes in his mouth. We do frequent âmouth checksâ because he picks up toads and frogs and brings them in the house. His morning ritual starts with going out and sticking his nose in all the flowers, followed by his morning walks. After breakfast, his âsecond breakfastâ is sharing cheerios and applesauce with Mom. He loves anything peanut butter! The best part of any day is snuggle time with his âpeopleâ and Xena in front of the TV. Tyson has brought so much happiness to us. We cannot thank Doberman Underground enough for bringing Tyson and Xena into our lives. Sharon & John Barb
Hershey Hershey is doing great. He is such a good boy. He has adjusted well and is definitely Garyâs dog. They walk just about daily on the various trails which Hershey enjoys immensely. As you know he is now negative for heart worm. Gary ran a DNA test on him and he is over 70% Doberman and Chow ( about 35% each) so that was interesting. He is part of our family and is here for good. Thank you Doberman Underground. Stay safe and healthy.
Hennessy my name is Joanne Stewart,i rescued Maggie Mae from Doberman Underground on 11-11-2019.I just the other day received an email from Doberman Undergroud ,checking on how Maggie was doing? By mistake,i must have deleted the email,so I can not respond.I still have this email from last year,so am wanting to let you know Maggie is doing Great! She traveled with me to N.C,to my childrens home, spent a week with my four grandchildren, and had a wonderful Christmas...she did really well the families, and travels with no problems.Every Dobie I have had,i fall in love with, and think I could never love another as I did the one before? But guess what? I love Maggie as much ,if not more?? thankyou for checking on her,and know how special each one of the gals I spoke to were so kind, and such a pleasure to talk too.The email kinda requested a picture of Maggie? I would love to send one,but what email address? thankyou again, sincerely,Joanne ,and Maggie
Hawkeye July 2018 we lost our beloved Dobie, Stormi. Shaq missed his âsisterâ so much that we decided to open our hearts and home to another rescue. After meeting Gail at a Pet Expo, we were so impressed and encouraged with Doberman Underground that we worked with Gwenn to find a new companion pup. Enter Xena. Xena had not been socialized and was not good with people and was animal aggressive. She eventually bonded with Shaq. Upon his death in April 2019, we felt adding another âbrotherâ would further help socialize Xena and fill the empty void in all our hearts. Again Gwenn came to the rescue so to speak! The challenge was in finding the right temperament to get along with Xena. In August a big hulk was the answer we had been hoping for. Tyson is a 100+ lb. goofball that was transported from a southern state to us with the help of the wonderful volunteers that work with Doberman Underground. It took 3 days for this southern boy to win Xena over with his charm! Tyson had to learn what toys and âcookiesâ were. He loves anything peanut butter, Nylabones, hugs and kisses. Heâs a snuggler and Velcro . He was just a year old in September and is still all puppyâjust supersized. He has adjusted well to everything except our Northern climate. He hates rain and snow and high winds. Snow has him terribly confused since he canât find his âyardâ with that white stuff all over it. He hates snow on his feet. In the yard with even an inch of snow he looks like a cross between Fred Astaire and Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk. Our best hope was to find a companion that would co-exist with Xena. Beyond our wildest dreams they love each other and race through the house playing and knocking furniture over in their path. The best part of any day for both of them is snuggle time with their âpeopleâ in front of the TV. We are so blessed with all the love, joy and laughter they bring into our lives. A heartfelt Thank You to Doberman Underground for bringing these two special babies to us. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
